Sculptor with art across the country celebrates roots at Notre Dame

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - A local artist is creating beautiful sculptures all across the country, including at the University of Notre Dame.

But his artwork isn’t the only tie that binds him to South Bend. His late father was a long-time professor at Notre Dame. One of his pieces is actually on display on campus.

Though artist Andrew Smith is carving his own path, his father, his Catholic faith and the university are never far from his mind.
