Search continues for two missing girls in Iowa

EVANSDALE, Iowa -- Federal agents and police in Iowa are continuing their search for two missing girls.

Lyric Cook, 10, and Elizabeth Collins, 8, were both seen last Friday when they went out for a bike ride.

While most of the search activity still involves a nearby lake, trash has also been collected.

Landfill operators confirmed that law enforcement officials requested the action. However, they will not confirm whether or not any of the officers sifted through the garbage yet.

Cook's mother said Wednesday that she thinks there's a chance the girls were abducted.
