Search for missing Michigan med student continues

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- A Kalamazoo family is desperate to find their daughter who has been missing for more than a week.

Teleka Patrick is a medical resident in Kalamazoo and was last seen in the parking lot of the medical center on December 5th. Her car was later found more than 100 miles away in a ditch in Portage, Indiana.

Indiana State Police have joined in the search efforts, using tracking dogs, ATV's and helicopters but so far there are no new leads.

"If anybody is holding her, holding her hostage, we are asking them to release her. She can do more, more to humanity. It's a waste," said Teleka's father Mattahais Patrick.

Her parents say she left her cell phone, her work ID, and some other personal items at the medical center the last night she was seen.
