Second annual Candy Run motorcycle ride set to kick off late July

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – The second annual Candy Run motorcycle ride is set is to kick off on July 31, providing funding and awareness to the Family & Children’s Center.

The ride will be over 70 miles with stops at multiple candy stores for samples of sweet treats. The Family & Children’s Center has teamed up with South Bend Chocolate Factory, the Wakarusa Dime Store in Wakarusa and Veni’s Sweet Shop in Niles.

This event will begin at the Family & Children’s Center on 300 S Lois Blvd in South Bend at 8:30 am. A staggered motorcycle ride will begin at 9 am and the last stand-up at 11 am.

The cost to participate is $15 for the first rider and $10 for an additional rider with pre-registration. On the day of the event, it costs $20 for the first rider and $10 for an additional rider.

The Family & Children’s Center serves more than 800 families across St. Joseph County, working to build strong families and healthy children throughout the county. Today, the organization also focuses on child abuse and neglect prevention programs with Healthy Families of St. Joseph County and The Brian Train and Community Partners.
