Section of southbound Portage Avenue closed beginning February 20 for NIPSCO work

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A section of southbound Portage Avenue will be closed starting Monday while NIPSCO installs a new gas main in the area.
The southbound lane will be closed from Brick Road to Appaloosa Lane through April 14, weather permitting.
Southbound traffic will detour east on Brick Road, south on Lilac Road and west on Cleveland Road.
Drivers will still have access to all businesses and homes in the area.
