Sections of Locust, Johnson Roads closed beginning June 20

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Sections of Locust Road and Johnson Road will be closed for bridge deck overlay projects beginning on or after June 20, the Indiana Department of Transportation announced.

Both sections will be closed for about two weeks.

Locust Road will be closed over the U.S. 20/31 bypass between Ireland Road and Prairie Avenue. The detour will follow Ewing Avenue, Gertrude Street/Linden Road, and Ireland Road.

Johnson Road will be closed over U.S. 31 between Main and St. Joseph Streets. The detour will follow Miami Road, Kern Road, and Lilac Road.

Current road closures on Ireland Road and Fellows Street should be complete by June 17. The reopening of these closures will impact the start date for the Locust and Johnson closures.
