Security guard injured while breaking up fight

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- A security guard at the Berrien County Health Department was attacked while doing his job.

Ron Tungett, 73, stepped into an argument between Kevin Barchett and another women outside the door of the facility.

Witnesses say taht Barchett punched and kicked the security guard several times.

When police arrived, Barchett fought with officers until he was subdued by a taser. He was arrested for assault.

Staff members at the health department said it was difficult to watch a friend suffering on the pavement.

Tungett remains hospitalized with broken bones in his face.
