Semi rollover causes traffic backups

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- An off-ramp of the US31 bypass was shut down Monday morning after a semi carrying rolls of steel rolled over at the brick road exit.

Rescue crews initially were called to pull the trapped driver out of the cab.

Part of Brick Road was also closed while tow trucks worked on getting the semi upright.

The driver was taken to Memorial Hospital. He is expected to be okay.
