ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- A semi-truck with a refrigerator trailer on the toll road had a brake fire that spread to the trailer. The driver separated the tractor from the trailer.
Eastbound lanes were shut down in order for the fire to be put out. One lane is now open. Delays are expected as traffic goes through the area.
It is located at mile marker 76 going eastbound.
Dispatch says they received the call by 8:38 p.m. and the Clay Township Fire Department and Indiana State Police responded to the situation.
