Semi-truck, horse and buggy involved in crash

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind.—A semi-truck and a horse and buggy were involved in a crash on US 20 on Monday.

According to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department, a horse and buggy was traveling south on County Road 300 E approaching US 20 when it disregarded a stop sign at approximately 6:57 p.m. on Monday.

A 2000 Peterbilt semi-truck was unable to avoid the collision and struck the horse and buggy, reports said.

The horse and buggy, driven by a 12-year-old boy, rolled over. The driver was taken to Parkview LaGrange Hospital for minor injuries, including pain to the head and knee.

The horse and buggy’s passenger, a 7-year-old girl, was released to family at the scene.

The driver of the semi-truck, 70-year-old Gordon Seeton of Canton, Ohio, refused treatment, according to police.
