Senator Dan Coats reacts to deadly tornado

WASHINGTON, D.C. Senator Dan Coats (R-Ind.) Issued the follow statement in reaction to the deadly tornado in Clark County. “Hoosiers have proven to be resilient and I am confident our state will rebuild. I am working with Governor Daniels, the administration, FEMA and the Indiana delegation to ensure Hoosiers receive the assistance needed. “We cannot replace the lives loss from Mother’s Nature’s destruction, but Hoosiers will come together to rebuild one day at a time.” Senator Coats is the Ranking Member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security, which oversees the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA.) Coats was with Hoosiers in Steuben County at the time of the storm. Information regarding Coats’ plans to visit the impacted counties is forthcoming.
