Several in hospital after collision on Western Avenue

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Several people are in the hospital following a crash involving two vehicles.
It happened around 4 a.m. Sunday on Western Avenue in South Bend.
Michiana News Channel reports that a driver ran into some pedestrians near AMVETS Post 66 then collided with another vehicle. It may have hit another group of pedestrians.
It's believed at least one person had to be cut out from one of the vehicles and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
One person was taken into custody after the collision.
