Several road closures during fallen firefighter's procession

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Commuters can expect several road closures throughout St. Joseph County Monday as the community comes together to lay a fallen hero to rest.


The procession for New Carlisle firefighter Jamie Middlebrook is expected to begin immediately after the funeral service concludes around 12:30 p.m.


The Mishawaka Police Department says that Logan Street from McKinley Avenue to Jefferson Boulevard will be shut down to drivers from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.


Jefferson Boulevard in South Bend will also be closed to commuters from Eddy Street to Sample Street.


State Road 2 in St. Joseph County will be off limits until the procession passes Larrison Boulevard. During this time, traffic will be redirected to US-20.


US-20 is expected to be closed after the motorcade continues west through New Carlisle. At this time, traffic will be redirected to State Road 2.
