Concern is growing with the forecast this week, both in regards to severe weather on Monday and extreme heat and humidity Tuesday and Wednesday.

While Monday morning will be quiet, severe thunderstorms are possible across Michiana Monday after 2 PM. Thunderstorms with damaging 70+ MPH winds, quarter-sized hail, torrential downpours, and even isolated tornadoes are possible tomorrow afternoon and evening. Power outages are possible as well with the strong wind gust potential.

If power outages are widespread, then the heat Tuesday and Wednesday could become even more serious for Michiana. Highs will be close to 100 degrees both Tuesday and Wednesday, with feels-like temps of 105-110 likely. This type of heat is dangerous even with air conditioning, but without it, it could be much worse. Also, nighttime temperatures could be in the upper 70s, not giving any relief from the extreme heat when the sun goes down as well. This situation bears watching very closely over the next few days.

Highs are still in the 90s on Thursday, but much more comfortable temperature and humidity values will arrive for Father's Day weekend.

Tonight: A few clouds. Low 62.

Tomorrow: Hot and humid with afternoon/evening severe storms possible. High 90.

Tuesday: Dangerously hot and humid. High 99. Feels Like: 105-110.

Wednesday: Continued extremely hot and humid. High 99. Feels Like: 105+
