Sheriff’s Association awards scholarship to Berrien County high school senior

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – The Michigan Sheriff’s Association Executive Director and the Berrien County Sheriff presented high school senior Tony Craft with a $1,000 scholarship.

Craft was among five seniors throughout the state of Michigan who received the scholarship. He is pursuing a career in criminal justice.

Craft has been a member of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Explorer Post 602 for four years and currently serves as Captain.

Craft recently graduated from Coloma High School and he plans on attending Lake Michigan College this fall.

“We are so proud of Tony for all his hard work and commitment,” Sheriff Bailey said in a press release. “We wish him well in achieving his goal and dreams to become a police officer.”
