Sheriff's office investigating hit and run involving pedestrian

The La Porte County Sheriff's Office is investigating a hit and run accident involving a pedestrian that happened Monday around 6:45 a.m. on Johnson Road.
When deputies arrived to the 5500 block of Johnson Road, they located a man lying alongside the road.
The victim told police he was struck by a vehicle as he was walking northbound on Johnson Road.
The victim told police the suspect vehicle was a white passenger car.
The 25-year-old victim was taken to La Porte Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The sheriff's office is asking for anyone that may have been in the area at the time or may have witnessed the pedestrian being struck to call 219-326-7700 with information.
