Shooting in Benton Township leaves one with non-life threatening injuries
BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – A shooting that took place in the 1500 Block of Highland left one injured with non-life-threatening injuries around 6:09 p.m. on Friday, according to the Benton Township Police.
Dispatch received the call around 6:09 p.m. from the victim, who reported he had been shot, according to officers. When police arrived, they contacted the victim who said he was traveling west on Highland when a vehicle coming in the opposite direction began firing at his vehicle, the report said.
Witnesses say they had seen a black SUV around the time of the shooting, according to officers.
The Berrien County Sheriff Department processed evidence at the scene. No suspects have been located at this time, officers said.
