ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – A shooting on Elwood Avenue and North Johnson Street has left at least one person injured on Thursday night, according to St. Joseph County Dispatch.
South Bend Police were dispatched for shot spotter. around 10:41 p.m. Thursday night. While officers were en-route to the scene, South Bend Police Capt. Kelly Waite said they were updated by other callers that someone was shot.
The Saint Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation because the condition of the victim is serious, said Capt. Waite.
