Shooting on northwest side leaves one injured

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A shooting on the northwest side of South Bend left one person in hospital early Monday morning.

According to the South Bend Police Department, an adult female victim showed up at her grandmother’s home on Humboldt and Elmer Streets shortly after 1 a.m.

The victim was suffering from a gunshot wound.

SBPD says she was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment, however, the injuries were not life threatening and was considered stable.

Officers were unsure of where the initial shooting happened.

This case is still under investigation.
