One person injured in shooting on Walnut and Sample in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – St. Joseph County Dispatch has confirmed reports of a shooting near Walnut Street and Sample Street in South Bend.

The South Bend Police Department was called to the area at 10:19 a.m. Thursday morning.

When police got to the scene, they found one victim who had been shot. The victim drove themselves to a local hospital.

The victim has non-life-threatening injuries.

The SBPD Shooting Response Team has taken over the investigation.
