SOUTH BEND, Ind., --- A female with an apparent gunshot injury showed up at the LaSalle Branch Library Saturday afternoon causing the library to close to the public.

South Bend Police say just before 1:00 p.m. they received a ShotSpotter notification for shots fired on the 2300 block of Keller Street, less than two miles away from the LaSalle Branch Library on Ardmore Trail.

They say a female victim with an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound was later located at the library.

South Bend Police are investigating.

At this time the LaSalle Branch Library is closed, and they are asking people to use another St. Joseph County Public Library location if possible.
