Shoppers hoping to beat out the weekend rush

MISHAWAKA, Ind. — The busiest day of the year is traditionally the Saturday before Christmas. And a lot of stores are trying to take advantage of the last minute shopping this year.

Macy's is now open 24 hours a day until 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve when it will close it doors.

Shoppers at the mall were out trying to beat the weekend rush.

"I am a last minute shopper, total last minute shopper. So that's why I am here today," said April Dawson. "I am just really looking for anything for stocking stuffers, anything unique for my daughters."

Toys-R-Us is also pulling a few all nighters. It is open now and plans to stay that way until 10 p.m. Christmas Eve.
