Shotgun goes off at a North Carolina gun and knife show

RALEIGH, N.C. — A visitor to a gun and knife show in Raleigh, N.C. had his shotgun go off.

Police said the owner of a 12-gauge shotgun forgot to unload the weapon before he brought it in. Investigators said when he opened the case for inspection, the gun went off.

Three people were shot, including a retired county deputy. 

It is unclear if the gun owner will face any charges in the incident.
