Shots fired into Elkhart home on W. Cleveland Avenue

ELKHART, Ind.—Shots were fired into an Elkhart home on October 27, according to the Elkhart Police Department.

Officers responded to a home in the 400 block of W. Cleveland Ave. at about 4 a.m. regarding the sound of gunfire.

Upon arrival, the victim reported to officers that he heard about five sounds of gunfire and then a few seconds later, heard another two to three sounds of gunfire.

The victim said that one of the bullets entered his home in the living room.

Police located a bullet slug.

Suspects are unknown at this time, according to police.

The incident remains under investigation.
