Shots fired reported in Roseland Tuesday night

ROSELAND, Ind. - The Roseland Police Department responded to a shots fired reported at Roseland Park Tuesday night, just before 10 p.m.

When police arrived, they found two adults and one juvenile armed with a number of weapons.

The three people said they were told they could fire their weapons in the county and thought Roseland Park was the appropriate place to do so.

Roseland Park is closed after dark. Weapons of any kind are not allowed in the park.

No people, houses or property were fired at, but officers located spent shell casings and defects in the ground.

All three people were released from the scene and their weapons were collected by police.
