ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast
Thursday, September 5, 2024
A few isolated thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and early this evening. Most will unfortunately stay dry. Otherwise, we'll wait until midnight for a cold front to arrive. Showers and isolated thunderstorms are likely early Friday morning. Friday will be cooler and becoming breezy with temperatures near 70 for highs. We should be rain free for high school football Friday Night, but then a round of lake-effect rain showers is possible Saturday morning. At this point, the showers look to stay just west of South Bend. Southern Berrien County in Michigan and LaPorte and Starke counties in Indiana have the best chance at seeing some showers with embedded thunder. Any showers should wrap up by the afternoon, but it will be breezy at times with winds gusting near 25 mph. It will also be quite cool, with highs in the lower 60s, which is about 15 degrees below normal. This blast of fall will be very short-lived, however. Temperatures will be back in the 70s on Sunday before the 80s and 90s return next week.
Tonight: Showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly after midnight. Low 64.
Tomorrow: Showers in the morning, then partly cloudy, breezy and cooler. High 71.
Saturday: A slight chance of a rain shower early. Partly sunny, breezy and cool. High 63.
Sunday: Sunny. High 73.
