Shredding event being hosted in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. -- The City of Elkhart, Integra Certified Document Destruction and the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce announced they will be hosting a shredding event on Monday for organizations and residents who want to get rid of unneeded documents.

Clean Your Files Day will be hosted on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. near the Civic Plaza in downtown Elkhart.

Everyone attending will be able to shred up to five boxes, no larger than a typical file box, worth of documents for free.

Each additional box after the five allotted will cost $3.

All shredded paper will be recycled to help reduce the number of trees cut down for paper and improve air quality.

To limit your wait time at this shredding event, participants are encouraged, but not required, to register for Clean Your Files Day to help with scheduling and planning efforts.
