Sign on door says Mishawaka’s Granite City Brewery has permanently closed
MISHAWAKA, Ind.—A sign posted to the front door at Mishawaka’s Granite City Brewery says that the restaurant has permanently closed.
"It comes with our deepest regret to inform you that after 11 years of serving you fresh beer from our brewery and food from our scratch kitchen, we have had to permanently close our doors at this location," the sign reads.
The sign, seen hanging on Tuesday afternoon at the restaurant located at University Park Mall on Grape Road, thanked the community for its loyalty over the last 11 years.
Granite City Brewery’s corporate website no longer lists the Grape Road location. The only Indiana location listed online is in Fort Wayne.
Granite City Brewery and University Park Mall had not returned a request for comment at the time of this writing.
A local restuaurant just down the road from Granite City Brewery tweeted Wednesday morning that it would accept Granite City gift cards as a discount to customers' bills.
Our restaurant neighbor Granite City, Grape Road, Mishawaka, has closed for business without warning. Anyone left with one of their gift cards may bring it to Hacienda for a $10 credit off their check through November 17. Hacienda has served the Mishawaka community since 1978.
