GARY, Ind. -- The Gary Police Department announced Thursday evening that they are investigating the disappearance of 13-year-old Ja'Niyah McMichael.

Authorities state that McMichael is a 4'3" tall black female weighing in at 101 pounds. She has black hair with brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pajamas with black and red shoes.

She was last seen on Sunday, August 11 at 11:00 p.m. in Gary.

It's reported that she is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
