Silver Alert issued for missing Nappanee teen

NAPPANEE, Ind.— A Silver Alert has been issued for 14-year-old Sara Shapland, who is missing from Nappanee.
Shapland is described as a white female who is five feet, four inches tall and weighs 140 pounds, according to police. She has brown hair and green eyes.
Police say Shapland was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with black shorts, Nike tennis shoes and a multicolored backpack.
Shapland is missing from Nappanee. She was last seen on Tuesday, August 17 at 2:59 a.m.
She is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
