Silver Hawks draw record-breaking crowd Thursday

SOUTH BEND — Thursday night's season opener was a big one for the South Bend Silver Hawks. They even set a new record—5,650 people showed up for opening night.
By the end of the game, it was standing room only.
They didn't get the win. The Bowling Green Hot Rods rolled to an 8 to 2 victory.
