Silverhawks hit a homerun with 11-11-11 promotion

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- While all eyes were on winter sports, the boys of summer snuck in a deal on Friday for their fans.

The South Bend Silverhawks Minor League Baseball team gave a discount for call in or walk up ticket purchases.

But there was a catch!  The discount was only between 11 a.m. and 11:11 a.m., because of the special date Nov. 11, 2011.

The team hit a homerun, selling over 250 tickets in those 11 minutes!

"We're going to do the 12 Days of Christmas which are coming up in December and we're going to be offering something every day in December, so just keep a look out for that," said Robbie Lightfoot, Silverhawks Marketing Director.
