ELKHART, Ind. -- Right now, one popular drive-in destination is open for business and celebrating its 57th season.
Simonton Lake Drive-in has reopened and is selling their classic homemade root beer as well as lunch favorites.
Now if you haven't been there before, you can drive right in, order, and receive your food all from the comfort of your car.
The drive-in experience has people quite excited to visit the seasonal spot in Elkhart.
"I would just tell them that it's just an awesome place to go and you know it's nostalgic. You get to sit in your car and eat. It brings everybody together. Everybody's like hey let's meet at the drive-in. It's kind of like a family thing, like something from the past that you don't see every day,” said Zanetta Meredith, an Elkhart Community Member.
The drive-in will be open every day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with options to eat from your car or take it on the go!
