ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Redevelopment Commission has unanimously passed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding water and sanitary sewer system upgrades with the City of Mishawaka and St. Joseph County.
This MOU will then be rolled into a larger agreement with Mishawaka, St. Joseph County, and Microsoft for their new data center.
Under this agreement, the City of Mishawaka will approve the scope of utility work needed for the project and St. Joseph County will build infrastructure before turning ownership back over to Mishawaka; the switch in ownership is due to Mishawaka extending its water utilities to the data center located in Granger, which is past Mishawaka city limits.
