Skull found in Michigan belongs to missing woman

BROWNSTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The skeletal remains found in a Brownstown Township are those of a missing Michigan woman Lizzie Mae Collier-Sweet.

Police confirmed the remains Thursday.

Her skull was found in the area last month.

She has been missing since 2007 when the home she lived in with her husband went up in flames.

Police say it's too soon to tell if the discovery will lead to charges against her husband, Rodger Sweet.

Right now, he is behind bars for raping a disabled woman and for killing his first wife in 1990.
