Snow and football bring business

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—Food delivery services are always busy on snow days.

Monday was an even bigger day for pizza joints.

Papa John’s on South Bend Avenue said that they expected a lot of orders because of the football games but, the added snow forced them to bring in all available drivers.

Claudia Cochran, the general manager at Papa John’s said, “"We expected to be busy anyways because we knew there were a lot of bowl games, a lot of football going on. Then, when the snow came, it was all hands on deck."

At one point Monday afternoon, every driver at the store was out on a delivery.

The manager joked that if customers actually came in she would give them free bread sticks.
