Sunny skies and warmer highs: quiet weather ahead
Cloudy and cold conditions will persist through most of the evening, with widespread snow showers returning later tonight. While this evening's commute is not expected to be impacted by the snow, tomorrow morning’s drive will likely be affected by slick roads, low visibility, and Game Day traffic, resulting in longer commute times. A brief break from snow is expected by Friday afternoon, with high temperatures only reaching the low 30s. However, another round of lake-effect snow is anticipated Friday night in northwest Indiana as winds shift to a northerly direction. During gametime, South Bend is forecasted to remain clear of snow, but temperatures will be below freezing. The weekend will bring clear skies but remain frigid, with highs only reaching the 20s.
Tonight: Snow showers. Low 29.
Friday: AM Snow. High 33.
Saturday: Overcast. High 28.
Sunday: Partly Sunny. High 28.
