Temperatures fall into the mid teens tonight, but weather remains quiet and mostly cloudy to round out the weekend. Busier weather picks up on Monday as we start the day off with light snow showers in the morning, transitioning to freezing rain early in the afternoon. The freezing rain lasts through the overnight as temperatures fall into the upper 20s. By the Tuesday morning commute, precipitation will be transitioning to rain showers, but the accumulation remains on the roads, paths, and walkways for the bulk of the day. Expect the most significant travel impacts during the MON evening and TUES morning commutes as icy roads are likely during these times. The ice will cling to surfaces, including the preexisting snowpack still found across most of Michiana, for the majority of Tuesday until temperatures consistently breach the upper 30s later in the day. A brief, cloudy intermission hangs over us Tuesday night, but more rain arrives Wednesday as highs climb close to 40F. In the back half of the week, expect persistent rain chances and mild temperatures in the upper 30s/ low 40s.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Low 14.

Monday: AM snow, PM freezing rain. High 32.

Tuesday: AM freezing rain to light rain showers later in the day. High 37.

Wednesday: Rain showers. High 39.
