Roads are still a mess this morning after our heavy snow from Wednesday.
Lighter snow showers fall today compared to yesterday, and most of Michiana will see only trace amounts of accumulation. The southeast portion of Michiana could pick up 1-2” of snow today.
Winds gust 25 to 30 mph – which will mean periods of blowing and drifting snow. As snow blows across the road, this could become extremely dangerous with periods of low visibility while driving.
Snow finally comes to a stop tonight, and wind dies down overnight.
It will be cold Friday morning, for anyone heading back to school or work. Wind chills will fall into the negative single digits.
The weekend forecast looks quiet with highs in the lower 20s Saturday, warming to the upper 20s Sunday.
Today: Cloudy. Occasional snow showers. Windy with periods of blowing snow. High 20.
