Snow showers move in to Michiana this evening by around 6 PM and later for our eastern counties. Light to moderate snowfall will fall throughout the night, with anywhere from a dusting to 3” accumulation. Higher accumulations look to be on the south side of Michiana. Lake effect snow is possible early Sunday morning, but that will clear for the day, and so will the skies. High temperatures stay cold for Sunday, in the mid teens.
The next big system moves in on Monday morning, lasting through the day. Temperatures will start below freezing in the morning, warranting snow, but by the afternoon temperatures will warm into the low to mid 30s, and some wet snow and even rain is possible. Freezing rain is not going to be a concern though. Lake effect snow will start up on Tuesday, and temperatures will drop into the negatives for Wednesday.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy with snow showers. Low of 10.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of early morning L.E. snow showers, then becoming partly sunny. High of 16.
Monday: Cloudy with snow and the chance for rain mix in the afternoon. Highs near 34.
