Snow showers tonight, cold Friday and Saturday

ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast

Thursday, January 27, 2022

A round of snow showers arrives tonight across Michiana, mainly after the commute home. A little bit of freezing drizzle could mix with snow early, but no big problems on the roadways are anticipated. There might be a few slick spots later tonight and very early Friday as most spots pick up a coating to closer to an inch near Lake Michigan. Snow wraps up by the morning drive Friday.

Friday and Saturday look cold, with highs only in the teens. Temperatures Friday night will plummet to near zero once again. Fortunately, the wind should be very light, so wind chills should not be an issue heading into Saturday. Highs are closer to 30 on Sunday, and should approach the freezing mark with partly sunny skies Monday. Temperatures will finally make it above freezing on Tuesday to celebrate the start of February. However, there could be rain, snow, and everything in-between for the first few days of the month with area-wide impacts. We'll keep a close eye on it.

Tonight: Turning cold again with snow showers. Low 8. Most locations receive under an inch of snow.

Tomorrow: Partly sunny and cold. High 18.

Saturday: Sun and clouds and cold. High 18.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy and not as cold. High 28.
