Snyder to seek federal assistance for farmers

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- Michigan's governor Rick Snyder announced he will seek disaster relief for Michigan farmers hurt by the hard spring freeze.

The freeze destroyed much of the state's fruit crops. Grapes, apples, cherries and peaches were all affected at a cost of more than $223 millon.
