Softball-sized hail falls in central Kansas

HUTCHINSON, Kan. -- Strong storms left a serious mess behind Tuesday night in Central Kansas.

Cars were pummeled by softball-size hail in Hutchinson.

It caught many people off guard, especially those now dealing with insurance to cover the damage.

Residents affected by the hail say it is some of the largest hail they have ever seen.

Trees and power lines were also knocked down by the hail, rain, and high winds.

No injuries have been reported.
