Soiree en Blanc to be held August 7

Soiree en Blanc South Bend will be held at an undisclosed location on August 7. The event is an elegant pop-up party that benefits a local non-profit.

This year, the beneficiary is Hello Gorgeous!, an organization that gives free spa services to cancer patients.

The Soiree en Blanc is made up of guests who show up to the same location at the same time, dressed all in white, and have dinner.

Attendees don’t know the location until the last possible moment.

“We send out a blast email telling you where we are going to meet, everybody comes with their table chairs and their gourmet dinner, and wine, and we kind of squat in an urban space that's isn't meant to have an elegant dinner,” Monica Hoban, the organizer of Soiree En Blanc South Bend, said.

Hoban says a special cancer patient will be honored at the event.

“We’ll have a gorgeous gal at our event on Friday, we’ll be having her makeover in the mobile spa, when everybody gets there and we are going to introduce her around 7:30,” Hoban said.
