A system moving well to our south is bringing snow showers to portions of southern and eastern Michiana this morning. That will end by 9 or 10 AM, and about 1” of snow could fall, with isolated spots closer to 1.5” or 2”. However, the big story is Christmas Eve snow! A White Christmas continues to look likely for Michiana, as 2-4” could now be possible across most of the area during the day. Snow should taper off by 2 AM Christmas morning as another inch could fall Sunday night.
Several lake effect snow chances exist during and after Christmas, but the arctic cold is certain to move in. Expect morning lows in the single digits for most weekdays! A better shot of flakes is also possible in time for next weekend.
Today: Mostly cloudy with AM snow showers. 1-2” possible for southern and eastern Michiana. High of 34.
Tonight: Cloudy. Low of 22.
Christmas Eve: Cloudy with snow likely. 2-4" possible during the day. High of 26.
Christmas Day: Mostly to partly cloudy with a few lake effect snow showers possible north of the Toll Road. Highs in the mid 20s.
