Some brighter news: daylight now over 11 hours!

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- With a winter storm set to bring several inches of snow to Michiana, we thought it would be nice to highlight a positive in the weather world.

That positive comes in the form of longer days and more daylight!

As of February 24th we are officially receiving more than 11 hours of daylight each and every day!

Not only that, but our sunsets now occur after 6:30 p.m.!

It gets better though! Daylight Saving Time is set to begin on March 17th. Of course, that means we lose an hour of sleep as we "spring forward," but it also means our sunsets will begin occurring close to and eventually after 8 p.m.!

The 17th also represents the day when we start seeing more than 12 hours of daylight going forward! Spring is just around the corner, folks!
