Some cities are disabling their crosswalk buttons

NEW YORK, N.Y. --- Many cities across the United States have disabled their crosswalk buttons.

In cities such as Dallas and New York, the buttons that people usually push at intersections to cross the street are being replaced by timers to control the flow of traffic.

Some crosswalks in South Bend use high-tech hawk signals which are in working order.
