Some Michiana schools listed as best in the state

Some area schools are among the best in the state.

That's according to a U.S. World and News report.

This week, the magazine published its list of the best schools in the country and by state.

Making the grade in Indiana, Goshen ranked 12th, Concord is 18th, and Fairfield Junior-Senior High School ranked 21st.

Two other schools made the top 30.

In Michigan, St. Joseph High School ranked 41st.

The criteria researchers looked at included reading and math scores and disadvantaged students.
