Happy Gameday! Clouds move in this morning, ahead of showers and storms that’ll sweep through Michiana during the midday and afternoon hours. Best shot of rain around Notre Dame is 11 AM to 3 PM, which could very well make the tail end of our Saturday Kickoff show wet. Some storms could be strong in the afternoon, the primary threat being gusty wind and heavy rain. Another chance for rain comes in during the evening and overnight, just in time for kickoff at Notre Dame Stadium, so have the poncho ready to go. Shower chances continue late tonight into Sunday morning before drying out.
The best days for more rain are Labor Day, Thursday, and Friday this week, but the heat and humidity is something we’ll notice more. The upper 80s are scheduled again this weekend through midweek.
Today: Mostly cloudy with midday and afternoon showers and storms. High of 82.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a chance of evening and early morning showers and a storm. Low of 71.
Sunday: Partly sunny with a chance of AM showers. High of 87.
Monday: Partly sunny with a chance of showers/storms. Highs in the upper 80s.
