South Bend and Osceola Parks close Innertube hills

St. Patrick’s County Park in South Bend and Ferrettie-Baugo Creek County Park in Osceola will be closed due to the forecasted wind chills on Tuesday.

“The severe wind chill factor coupled with the extra wind speed incurred when sliding down the hill on an innertube, combines for an unsafe condition. We are concerned about our staff that stands out on the hill, but especially for families and children who might come out and not be prepared for such harsh conditions,” said County Parks Director, Evie Kirkwood.

The cross-country ski rental and skiing trails will be open at St. Patrick's County Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday.
